If everything goes fine, from May I will only have to work on animation while Fabien will work on renders.
Hard to believe that, but I think The End is quite close, tick-tock-tick-tock (in theory)!

Voici un petit second snapshot sur notre travail, un mix de 2D/3D. Que dîtes-vous de ça? :)

Si tout va bien, à partir de mai je n'aurai plus que de l'animation à faire tandis que Fabien travaillera sur les rendus.
Difficile à croire, mais je pense que La Fin est proche les gens, tic-tac-tic-tac (enfin on espère)!  
Merci encore pour votre patience et de continuer à nous suivre, on donne notre meilleur!

Someone's here?!

We are finally back after a too-long break! But back more motivated than ever.
We are working hard, and because we released already a trailer and many pictures, from now we decided to show you only snippets of the final renders, we don't want to spoil everything and let you the surprise when you'll watch the entire movie  :)
However, we will do our best to update the blog at least once per month until the final countdown.

Y'a quelqu'un ici ?!

Nous sommes enfin de retour après une trop longue pause! Mais revenons plus motivés que jamais.
Nous travaillons durement, et puisque nous avons déjà publié un trailer et de nombreuses photos, à partir de maintenant nous avons décidé de vous montrer que des bribes de rendu final, nous ne voulons pas tout gâcher et vous laisser la surprise quand vous regardez le film terminé :) ...
Cependant, nous ferons de notre mieux pour mettre à jour le blog au moins une fois par mois jusqu'à l'ultime fin.

Ps: Si tout va bien, cet été sera la fin (Oui oui Fabien! j'ai décidé, un point c'est tout).

We told you that we would release the trailer this week end. Well, it is Sunday late evening, but technically it is still the week end so we didn't lie.

On vous avait dit qu'on sortirait le trailer ce week-end. Bon, il est dimanche et la soirée est déjà bien avancée, mais techniquement, c'est toujours le week-end, donc on ne vous a pas menti! Renders : Marguerite's house

Still a couple of weeks before we post the trailer. In the meantime, we want to show you a breakdown of Marguerite's house from A to Z.





It is interesting to see the progression of this environment, we spent a long time working on it, and it was certainly the hardest one because of all the props and vegetation we had to make.

We could have spent even more time on it because there is still plenty of room for improvement, but there's a movie waiting to be done. Time to move on !

Bonjour,

Plus que deux semaines avant de poster le trailer. En attendant, nous voulons vous montrer un breakdown de la maison de Marguerite  de A à Z.
C'est intéressant de voir la progression de ce décor, on a travaillé un bon moment dessus, et c'était sûrement le plus complexe à cause de tous les objets et végétation qu'on avait à faire.

On aurait pu passer encore plus de temps dessus car il y a toujours moyen de faire mieux, mais il reste un film à faire. Il était temps de passer à autre chose !

Renders : the postman's office

Hi everyone, 

We just finished the postman's office ! I did the environment and textures, and Fabien worked on the lighting, the rendering and the compositing. Actually, it's exactly what I had in mind for the atmosphere of this scene, so I am really satisfied with the 3D render.

Besides, Fabien updated the render of Charles, with the latest textures and shaders.

Your feedbacks are still more than welcomed!

Bonjour tout le monde,

On vient juste de terminer le bureau du facteur ! Je me suis occupée de l'environnement et des textures et Fabien s'est chargé de l'éclairage, du rendu et du compositing.En fait, c'est exactement ce que j'avais à l'esprit pour l'atmosphère de ce décors, donc je suis vraiment contente du résultat !

Sinon, Fabien a mis a jour le rendu de Charles, avec de nouvelles textures et matériaux.

Vos retours sont toujours les bienvenus !

Turnaround of Charles

These last two weeks were not the most productive we've had. Rachel's motherboard fried and had to be replaced, my new computer arrived and just wanted me to built it, windows and softwares had to be reinstalled... But while doing all this IT work, we finally finished the postman turnaround, and this post will be the official opening of our production blog!

We'll start talking about our project on forums, to get critics and feedbacks, hopefully good ones :) Either way we're sure that this will boost our motivation, as we've now reached the point of no return, we can't go back!

Ces deux dernières semaines n'ont pas été des plus productives. La carte mère de Rachel nous a lâché, il a fallu la remplacer, mon nouveau pc est arrivé et n'attendait plus que je le monte, il a fallu reinstallé windows et compagnie... Mais malgré tout ce boulot de maintenance, on a enfin fini le turnaround du facteur, et ce post servira d'ouverture officielle de notre blog de production!

On va commencer à parler de notre projet sur les forums, pour recevoir des critiques, en espérant qu'elles soient plutôt bonnes :)
Quoiqu'il arrive, ca boostera notre motivation, parce qu'on ne pourra plus faire machine arrière!
